Description

Delight in festive fun with these Brownie Christmas Trees! Soft, rich brownie circles are stacked and decorated with creamy green frosting, star toppers, and holiday sprinkles to create charming edible holiday trees perfect for any celebration or winter gathering.

Ingredients

Scale

Brownie Base

  • 1 box brownie mix, any brand, baked and cooled
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • 3 round cookie/biscuit cutters in varying sizes

Green Frosting

  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened to room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons milk
  • green food coloring

Decorations

  • holiday sprinkles
  • yellow star-shaped decorations
  • disposable piping bag
  • Wilton Star tip 1m

Instructions

  1. Prepare Frosting: In a bowl, combine the powdered sugar, softened butter, and vanilla extract. Gradually add milk, one tablespoon at a time, mixing thoroughly until the frosting reaches a smooth and desirable consistency. Add green food coloring until the frosting is evenly tinted green.
  2. Fill Piping Bag: Attach the Wilton Star tip 1m to the disposable piping bag and fill it with the green frosting, ready for decorating.
  3. Cut Brownie Circles: Using the three round cookie cutters of varying sizes, gently cut circles out of the baked and cooled brownies to create base layers for the Christmas trees.
  4. Stack and Frost: Starting with the largest brownie circle, place it as the bottom layer. Pipe a generous swirl of green frosting on top, then stack the medium-sized brownie circle on it. Repeat frosting and add the smallest circle on top, finishing with frosting on the topmost piece to resemble the tree tip.
  5. Decorate Trees: Place a yellow star decoration on the peak of each brownie stack. Sprinkle holiday sprinkles over the frosting to add festive color and texture.
  6. Repeat Process: Continue assembling the remaining brownie circles into trees until all pieces are used and decorated.

Notes

  • Ensure brownies are completely cooled before cutting to prevent crumbling.
  • Adjust frosting consistency with milk to achieve easy piping texture.
  • Use any brand of brownie mix and customize sprinkles for various holiday themes.
  • The star tip 1m creates a textured tree look but can be substituted with other piping tips if unavailable.
  • Store assembled brownie trees in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.
