Description

Delicious and festive Chocolate Peppermint Grahams feature crispy graham crackers dipped in creamy milk and white chocolate, then topped with crushed peppermint candy canes for a perfect holiday treat.

Ingredients

Scale

Chocolate Coating

  • 11 ounce package milk chocolate, melted
  • 11 ounce package white chocolate, melted

Additional Ingredients

  • 4 peppermint candy canes, crushed
  • 24 graham cracker squares or 12 full size crackers

Instructions

  1. Melt Milk Chocolate: Place milk chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl and heat for 30 seconds. Stir well and continue heating at 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until smooth, about a total of 90 seconds.
  2. Dip Graham Crackers: Dip one end of each graham cracker into the melted milk chocolate, then place on parchment paper to set. Repeat with all crackers.
  3. Set Milk Chocolate: Allow the milk chocolate on the grahams to set completely before proceeding.
  4. Melt White Chocolate: Using the same method as step one, melt white chocolate in the microwave until smooth.
  5. Dip and Sprinkle: Dip the opposite end of each graham cracker into the white chocolate immediately sprinkle with the crushed peppermint candy canes. Place back on parchment paper and allow to set.

Notes

  • Use Ghirardelli candy melts for easy melting and great flavor without tempering.
  • To speed up setting, refrigerate dipped graham crackers for about 15 minutes.
  • Store finished graham crackers in an airtight container at room temperature or in the fridge for a chilled texture.
  • Crush candy canes by placing them in a plastic bag and rolling over with a rolling pin—great for kids to help!
  • Substitute dark chocolate for milk chocolate if preferred.
  • Try swapping regular graham crackers for chocolate graham crackers, saltine crackers, or Ritz crackers for different flavor profiles.
