Description

Christmas Peanut Clusters Crockpot Candy is a festive and easy-to-make treat featuring roasted peanuts coated in a rich blend of semisweet chocolate, German chocolate, peanut butter chips, and almond bark, all melted together in a slow cooker. Perfect for holiday gifting or sharing, these peanut clusters have a smooth, creamy texture and can be decorated with sprinkles for extra holiday cheer.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 2 pounds dry roasted peanuts (two 16-ounce jars)
  • 1 (12-ounce) bag semisweet chocolate chips (about 2 cups)
  • 1 (4-ounce) German chocolate baking bar broken into pieces
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter chips
  • 48 ounces almond bark (two 24-ounce packages)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Ingredients: Add the dry roasted peanuts to the bottom of a large slow cooker. Evenly sprinkle the semisweet chocolate chips, chopped German chocolate baking bar pieces, and peanut butter chips on top of the peanuts. Then, break up the almond bark into smaller chunks and layer it over the top of all the ingredients. Cover the slow cooker with the lid.
  2. Cook Slowly: Set the slow cooker on LOW heat and cook the mixture for 2 hours without stirring to allow all the chocolates and chips to melt and blend perfectly.
  3. Stir Until Smooth: After 2 hours, remove the lid and stir the melted mixture thoroughly until it becomes smooth and well combined.
  4. Form Clusters: Drop the chocolate-coated peanut mixture by rounded spoonfuls onto baking sheets lined with parchment paper. If desired, decorate with sprinkles or festive toppings before the chocolate sets.
  5. Cool and Set: Allow the clusters to cool completely at room temperature for about 1 hour or until they are fully set and firm. Once hardened, store properly or enjoy immediately.

Notes

  • Storage: Store the clusters in an airtight container at room temperature for 1-2 weeks, or refrigerate for up to 1 month for longer freshness.
  • Freezing: These peanut clusters freeze well for a couple of months in an airtight container. Thaw at room temperature for 1-2 hours before serving.
  • Mix-ins: For variety, try adding raisins, mini marshmallows, or pretzels to the mixture before shaping the clusters.
  • Decorations: Sprinkle crushed candy canes or holiday-themed sprinkles on top for a festive presentation.
