Description

These festive Christmas Marshmallow Pops are a fun and easy holiday treat featuring marshmallows threaded onto candy canes, coated in rich melted chocolates, and decorated with colorful sprinkles and crushed candy canes. Perfect for gifting or sharing at holiday parties, these pops combine sweet, crunchy, and creamy textures for a delightful snacking experience.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 6 candy canes unwrapped
  • 18 large marshmallows

Chocolate Coating

  • 1 cup melting chocolate
  • 1 cup white melting chocolate
  • ¼ cup green melts
  • ¼ cup red melts

Decorations

  • 2 tablespoons crushed candy canes
  • 2 tablespoons holiday sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Assemble: Thread 3 marshmallows onto each candy cane. Handle the candy canes gently to avoid breaking. If left wrapped, gently wash them before use.
  2. Melt the chocolate: Place the melting chocolate, white melting chocolate, and colored melts (green and red) in microwave-safe bowls. Microwave each in 20-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth and fully melted. Follow package instructions if they differ.
  3. Coat: Quickly coat half of the marshmallows with melted brown chocolate and the other half with white chocolate by dripping the chocolate over the marshmallows using a spoon. Avoid coating the candy cane loops. Place the coated marshmallow pops on parchment paper to set.
  4. Decorate: While the chocolate coating is still wet, sprinkle crushed candy canes and holiday sprinkles over the pops. Use melted colored candy melts in a piping bag or by drizzling to add decorative designs. Set aside for about 5 minutes to harden completely.
  5. Serve: Once hardened, the Christmas Marshmallow Pops are ready to be enjoyed or packaged for gifting.

Notes

  • Storage: Store the marshmallow pops in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 7 days. In warm climates, refrigerate to prevent melting.
  • Freezing: Freezing is not recommended for these marshmallow pops as it may affect texture and coating.
  • Tip: Crush candy canes easily by placing them in a ziplock bag and using a rolling pin, or use a food processor.
  • Tip: Let the candy coating fully harden before storing to maintain their shape and prevent sticking.
