Description

A refreshing and tropical Christmas Frozen Mango Margarita made with frozen mango chunks, blanco tequila, fresh lime juice, and sweetened to taste with guava jelly or your preferred sweetener. Rimmed with optional Tajín seasoning and garnished with lime and mango for a festive holiday cocktail.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb frozen mango chunks
  • 1/2 cup blanco (silver) tequila
  • 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lime juice (about 4 small limes)
  • 12 tablespoons guava jelly, agave, honey, or simple syrup for sweetening, to taste
  • Ice, as needed

For Serving

  • Tajín seasoning for rimming the glasses (optional)
  • Sliced lime and/or fresh mango pieces for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prep the glasses: Sprinkle Tajín seasoning onto a plate. Run a lime wedge around the rim of two glasses and dip each glass into the seasoning, rolling to fully coat the rim. Set the rimmed glasses aside.
  2. Blend ingredients: In a high-powered blender, combine frozen mango chunks, blanco tequila, freshly squeezed lime juice, and guava jelly (or your chosen sweetener). Blend until smooth and well combined.
  3. Adjust consistency and sweetness: Check the texture of the margarita; if it is too thin, add ice to thicken. Taste and add more sweetener if desired. Blend briefly to mix.
  4. Serve: Pour the frozen mango margarita evenly into the prepared glasses. Garnish with sliced lime or fresh mango pieces if desired and enjoy immediately.

Notes

  • Use guava jelly, agave, honey, or simple syrup according to your preferred sweetness.
  • If the margarita is too thin, add ice gradually to achieve the desired frozen cocktail texture.
  • Tajín seasoning adds a spicy, tangy flavor to the glass rim but is optional.
  • For best results, use a high-powered blender to achieve a smooth texture.
  • Serve immediately for optimal freshness and flavor.
