Instructions
- Combine Ingredients: In a small saucepan, add the milk, espresso, ground ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, and sugar.
- Heat to Simmer: Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a simmer, stirring occasionally to blend the spices and dissolve the sugar.
- Simmer Gently: Once simmering, reduce the heat to low and continue stirring regularly for 2 minutes to meld the flavors.
- Remove from Heat: After 2 minutes on low heat, remove the saucepan from the stove.
- Serve: Pour the gingerbread latte evenly into two cups.
- Add Toppings: Optionally, top each latte with whipped cream to finish.
Notes
- If you don't have an espresso machine, substitute with 2 teaspoons instant coffee dissolved in 1/4 cup boiling water and reduce the milk to 1 3/4 cups.
- For a refreshing iced version, pour the prepared latte over ice.
