Description

This Healthy Oatmeal Banana Bread is a nutritious twist on traditional banana bread, made with rolled oats and ripe bananas. It’s naturally sweetened with maple syrup and includes optional chocolate chips for a delightful treat. Perfect for breakfast or a wholesome snack.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups rolled oats gluten free, if needed
  • 4 large bananas approximately 1 1/2 cups banana
  • 2 large eggs
  • 6 tablespoons maple syrup can use honey or agave nectar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup chocolate chips optional

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 180C/350F. Grease a loaf pan thoroughly and set it aside to prepare for baking.
  2. Blend the ingredients: In a high-speed blender or food processor, add the rolled oats, bananas, eggs, maple syrup, and baking soda. Blend until the mixture forms a smooth batter.
  3. Add chocolate chips: If using, gently fold the chocolate chips into the batter to distribute evenly without overmixing.
  4. Pour and bake: Pour the batter into the greased loaf pan and smooth the top. Bake in the preheated oven for 40 minutes, or until a skewer inserted into the center comes out mostly clean.
  5. Cool the bread: Remove the banana bread from the oven and allow it to cool completely in the pan before slicing and serving.
