Ingredients
Scale
Salmon
- 1 ½ pounds salmon, about 4 filets, skins removed, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
Hot Honey Glaze
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, room temperature
- ¼ cup (85 g) hot honey, homemade or store-bought
Garnish
- parsley, chopped for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the Air Fryer: Set your air fryer to 390°F and allow it to properly heat up before cooking the salmon bites.
- Season the Salmon: In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, kosher salt, and black pepper. Add the cubed salmon and gently toss until all pieces are evenly coated with the seasoning mixture.
- Air Fry the Salmon Bites: Arrange the seasoned salmon cubes in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 9 to 10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking, until the internal temperature reaches between 140°F and 145°F.
- Prepare the Hot Honey Glaze: While the salmon cooks, melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add the hot honey and warm through until combined, then remove from heat.
- Coat the Salmon Bites: Once the salmon bites are cooked, add them to the saucepan with the hot honey butter mixture. Gently toss to coat all the bites evenly with the glaze.
- Garnish and Serve: Transfer the glazed salmon bites to a serving dish, sprinkle with chopped parsley for freshness and color, and serve immediately.
- Oven Alternative: Preheat your oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place the seasoned salmon cubes on the baking sheet and bake for 16 minutes, flipping halfway through, until cooked through. Toss with the hot honey glaze and garnish before serving.
