Description

Ramen Lasagna is a creative twist on traditional lasagna, using ramen noodles layered with tomato sauce, parmesan, and mozzarella cheeses. This easy-to-make dish comes together quickly and is baked to bubbling, cheesy perfection, serving as a comforting main course for four.

Ingredients

Scale

Ramen Noodles

  • 4 packets ramen noodles, discard flavor packet

Sauce and Cheese

  • 4 cups tomato sauce, divided
  • 2 cups grated parmesan cheese, divided
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare: Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grease an 8-x-8-inch casserole dish with baking spray and place it onto a baking tray; set aside.
  2. Prepare Noodles: Break each square of ramen noodles in half through the middle to create smaller pieces for layering.
  3. First Layer: Place one layer of ramen noodles on the bottom of the casserole dish. Spread 2 cups of tomato sauce evenly over the noodles. Sprinkle 1 cup of grated parmesan cheese followed by 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese on top.
  4. Second Layer: Add another layer of ramen noodles on top of the first. Spread the remaining 2 cups of tomato sauce evenly. Then sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of parmesan cheese and 1 cup of mozzarella cheese on top.
  5. Bake: Bake the assembled lasagna in the oven for 30 minutes or until the sauce is bubbling and the cheese is fully melted and golden on top.
  6. Serve: Remove from the oven and serve immediately to enjoy the warm, cheesy ramen lasagna.

Notes

  • You can substitute mozzarella with provolone or a blend of Italian cheeses for a different flavor.
  • Adding fresh herbs like basil or oregano to the tomato sauce can enhance the taste.
  • For a meatier version, add cooked ground beef or sausage between the layers.
  • Use low-sodium tomato sauce to reduce the sodium content if desired.
  • Make sure not to overcook the ramen noodles before assembling as they will bake further in the oven.
