Description

A refreshing and light Sparkling Watermelon Lime Mocktail that combines fresh watermelon juice with zesty lime and sparkling soda water, garnished with mint for a perfect summer drink.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 4 cups cubed fresh watermelon
  • ⅓ cup fresh lime juice (approximately 34 limes)
  • 4 sprigs fresh mint
  • Soda water (to taste)
  • Extra lime slices for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Watermelon: Cut the watermelon into cubes, discarding the rind and any white parts. This ensures a sweet and fresh base for your mocktail.
  2. Blend the Ingredients: Add the watermelon cubes and fresh lime juice to a blender. Blend until smooth, using a tamper if necessary. If your blender is small, blend in batches to process all the watermelon evenly.
  3. Strain the Juice: Pour the blended mixture through a fine-mesh strainer to remove any pulp, transferring the strained juice to a jug for a smooth consistency.
  4. Assemble the Mocktail: Fill glasses or a large pitcher with crushed ice. Pour the watermelon lime juice into each glass or pitcher until halfway full, then top with soda water to fill the remaining space.
  5. Garnish and Serve: Garnish each glass with a sprig of fresh mint and a slice of lime, then serve immediately for the best refreshing experience.

Notes

  • If you don’t have crushed ice, place ice cubes in a zip-lock bag and crush them with a rolling pin as an easy alternative.
  • Adjust the lime juice quantity to your preference: add more for extra tang or reduce slightly for a sweeter taste.
  • Use fresh watermelon and freshly squeezed lime juice for the best flavor.
  • Serve immediately to maintain the sparkle and freshness of the soda water.
