Description

These Turkey Sliders are easy-to-make, crowd-pleasing sandwiches featuring thin-sliced deli turkey and Swiss cheese layered on sweet Hawaiian rolls, brushed with a flavorful butter mixture and baked until warm and melty. Perfect for appetizers or casual meals.

Ingredients

Scale

Slider Layers

  • 12 Hawaiian rolls
  • 3/4 pound thin-sliced deli turkey
  • 3/4 pound thin-sliced Swiss cheese

Butter Topping

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick)
  • 1/2 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tablespoon everything bagel seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven and Prepare Dish: Preheat your oven to 350°F. Line a 9×13-inch casserole dish with foil and spray the bottom with nonstick spray to prevent sticking.
  2. Slice Rolls and Layer Base: Without pulling the rolls apart, slice them horizontally in half. Place the bottom halves of the 12 Hawaiian rolls into the prepared casserole dish, forming the base layer.
  3. Add Turkey and Cheese Layers: Layer the 3/4 pound thin-sliced deli turkey evenly over the bottom half of the rolls, then add the 3/4 pound thin-sliced Swiss cheese on top of the turkey.
  4. Top with Roll Halves: Place the top halves of the rolls onto the cheese layer, covering the filling completely.
  5. Prepare Butter Mixture: Melt 1/2 cup unsalted butter in a microwave-safe bowl or on the stovetop in a saucepan. Stir in 1/2 tablespoon Dijon mustard, 1/2 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce, and 1/2 tablespoon everything bagel seasoning until well combined.
  6. Brush Butter Mixture: Generously brush the butter mixture over the top halves of the rolls. Let the assembled sliders sit for 5 minutes so the rolls can absorb some of the flavorful butter.
  7. Bake the Sliders: Cover the casserole dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes. Then remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes to allow the tops to brown and the cheese to melt thoroughly.
  8. Serve Warm: Remove the sliders from the oven and serve warm as a delicious appetizer or meal option.

Notes

  • For appetizers, plan on serving 1-2 sliders per person; for a meal, 3 sliders per person is recommended.
  • Store leftover sliders in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • For longer storage, freeze the sliders in a freezer-safe container for up to 3 months and reheat before serving.
  • Using Hawaiian rolls adds a sweet and soft contrast to the savory turkey and cheese, but you can substitute with dinner rolls if preferred.
  • Everything bagel seasoning can be substituted with sesame seeds, poppy seeds, or a garlic herb blend for variation.
